AI Applied Scientist
Tel Aviv (Sarona)
Full-time
Role Overview
We’re looking for an AI Applied Scientist to research, prototype, and deploy intelligent agent systems designed to tackle complex challenges in software development. This role blends deep research in LLMs and agentic methods with hands-on system design and implementation.
You’ll be responsible for driving experiments, evaluating emerging approaches, and working with the team to rapidly bring advanced capabilities into production. You’ll think like a researcher and build like an engineer, with a bias for action and a passion for turning innovation into impact.
What You’ll Do
- Research, prototype, and evaluate agentic systems that leverage LLMs, tool use, knowledge-retrieval, and planning to solve complex software problems
- Design experiments, compare approaches, and guide architectural decisions grounded in empirical results
- Work closely with the team across engineering and product to turn prototypes into scalable, production-ready systems.
- Play a pivotal role in shaping how we build - technically, operationally, and culturally - as part of an early-stage team.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in applied machine learning or AI research, with a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Hands-on experience in building and deploying machine learning or LLM-based systems in real-world settings
- Solid understanding of deep learning architectures, particularly transformers
- Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch
Bonus points if you also have:
- Experience with agentic frameworks or LLM-driven systems involving complex reasoning and tool use
- Domain expertise in code generation or natural language processing (NLP)
- Experience designing evaluation frameworks or benchmarks for LLM-based applications
- PhD in a relevant field and first-author publications at top ML conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR)
